Pre-match facts: TSG vs. Hamburger SV

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim will face Hamburger SV in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday (May 11th, 15.30 CET). TSG are targeting a third home win in a row. Their two wins in April means that they have picked up a maximum of six points in front of their own fans (3-0 against Fortuna Düsseldorf and 2-1 against 1. FC Nürnberg).

Only a win gives Hoffenheim the chance to move up the table. Manager Markus Gisdol and his side are looking to give the TSG fans something to take away from their final home game of the season. Tickets have been sold out for weeks.

For statistic lovers, here are all the facts and figures ahead of the match between TSG and HSV:

Did you know that…

…TSG have an almost perfect record against HSV at home?

Hoffenheim have won three of their four encounters with Hamburg. The other result was a draw. TSG don't have a better record against any other Bundesliga side (an average of 2.5 points per home game).

…Hamburg have barely troubled TSG in front of goal in Sinsheim?

TSG have only conceded once against Hamburger SV at home in the Bundesliga. Hoffenheim on the other hand have scored 12 times.

…some of TSG's biggest Bundesliga wins have come against the visitors?

Hoffenheim have won seven top-flight matches with a margin of four goals. Two of them have come against HSV: a 5-1 win in April 2010, followed by a 4-0 victory two years later in April 2012.
