Training camp, day four – the analytical side

After the 1-0 win against Sparta Rotterdam on Tuesday evening, the focus of TSG's training session the following morning was all about recovering. First off, the group underwent the “relevant conditioning” with Christof Elser, after which, the team was split into two groups. For those that played a half or more in the friendly, a long run was on the cards. The others stayed on the training pitch and worked intensively on tactical work with the ball.

Stephan Schröck (back problems), Marvin Compper (adductor problems) and Michael Gregoritsch (thigh strain) were treated for their injuries off the pitch.

For the rest of the day, the players needed more brains than brawn. As they have done in the last few days, after lunch, the players and goalkeeper coach Zsolt Petry took questions from the media that had travelled. The second session of training focused on the theoretical side. Here, each part of the team analysed video content, with the opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt coming on Thursday when both sessions are back on the training pitch.
