TSG play for a good cause

Week after week, thousands of football fans make the pilgrimage to the stadia to support the clubs of the Bundesliga. For more than this reason alone, the professional clubs have a responsibility to give something back to the community for their support. Often the reason for this is not a pleasant one, as it is this Friday, at 18 CET, when TSG 1899 Hoffenheim travel to SV Großeicholzheim for a charity match.

Johannes Galm, a 19 year old player of SV, has been paralysed from the chest down since a swimming accident in the spring. At the moment, the family are helping towards Johannes' needs. The proceeds of the game will go towards any accumulating costs. TSG have waived the appearance fee, so as much as money as possible can go to the cause.

In the first half, TSG will play SV Großeicholzheim whereas after the break, a selection of regional players will be TSG's opponents. The whole squad, excluding those away on international duty, will travel in order to play for the good cause.
