Reaction to the match against Hamburg

TSH 1899 Hoffenheim celebrated their first home win since October by thumping Hamburger SV 4-0 in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena. What did the managers and players of the respective teams have to say about the result?

Markus Babbel: I have to pay the team a lot of respect because they gave everything tonight. We're all delighted to have our first home win in what has been a long time. The team showed a hell of a lot of passion and really deserved the victory.

Thorsten Fink: There are no positives for us to draw from this game. We were good in the first ten minutes and we showed that we could play some decent football. But we didn't show and fight. I have no complaints with the result. We need a reaction from the team on Saturday.

Boris Vukcevic: It's a great feeling to have finally won at home again, and a 4-0 scoreline is even better. We're working well as a team and our confidence is growing. But we have to keep it going. We have a tough week behind us, but we need to show people that we can deal with that and maintain that level of performance.

Marvin Compper: The result will do our confidence a lot of good and I'm especially pleased for the fans. We knew we were up against a team that starts well. But we soon found a way into the game and we're delighted to have won two matches in a row.

Tom Starke: It was a hugely important win for us, because there's always pressure on you when you play at home. We found it hard at the beginning, but then we improved and had a little bit of luck as well. But at the end of the day, I think the win was deserved.

Fabian Johnson: We've finally been rewarded for our good performances at home. We took our chances really well, and we have to carry this momentum into the Freiburg game.
