Andreas Müller: “It's hard to explain the defensive errors. You have to have a high level of concentration in the Bundesliga, and I don't know what was going on inside the players' heads tonight. We have the potential, but it's important to bring that to the pitch. We will analyse what went wrong together with Markus Babbel and draw the appropriate conclusions ahead of Sunday's game.”

Markus Babbel: “It's a very disappointing result and they we're disappointing goals to concede. We weren't forceful enough, but we became more dangerous as the game went on and applied more pressure. Nevertheless, we conceded the goals through individual mistakes, weak tackling and negligent errors in defence. They're the kind of mistakes that cannot happen at this level.”

Dieter Hecking: “We deserved to win. We had the right amount of passion, did a lot of running and got stuck in. We were fortunate to take the lead and we reacted well after the equaliser. The penalty was questionable. However, we missed out on a lot of chances. Nevertheless, we played good football had some really good moments, so it was a deserved victory.”
