Tom Starke in demand

‘Like a computer,' read numerous daily newspapers about Tom Starke after Hoffenheim's victory over Dortmund. Naturally we share this view , and ask Starke what he thinks about this label.

Tom, two days after you beat the champions, how does that victory feel?

It still feels really good. We achieved something special which nobody would have expected from us. But it will only become clearer after the next few matches just how important this victory was.

Can you describe the winning goal from Sejad Salihovic, from the point of view of a goalkeeper?

It was a great free-kick from Sejad, you can only congratulate him for a goal like that. As a goalkeeper you never know if the ball will curl over the wall or go in the corner where you're standing. So it's impossible to predict. And he couldn't have struck the ball any better anyway.

You must have been worried in the last few minutes, since the team couldn't convert some good chances on the break.

We have to learn from that yes. Four-against-two situations have to be made to count, better than we did in that game. But it's normal that some improvements still need to be made after only two matches.

On Sunday you couldn't train, and then went for treatment at the training ground yesterday. How is your fitness and does it look promising for the game on Saturday?

Everything is fine. I completed the normal rehabilitation exercises and had myself treated by our physio. It's standard practice after a Bundesliga game.
