Reaction against Germania Windeck

1899 Hoffenheim were not hitting all cylinders against Germania Windeck, but made their way safely into the second round of the DFB Pokal. Here is what those involved in the match had to say:

Holger Stanislawski: We started reasonably well and had a high percentage of possession, but failed to score. After that it got progressively tougher. We worked really hard and are simply pleased that we've made it into the next round.

Hermann-Josef Werres: Today we demonstrated what can be achieved with passion and heart. We sold ourselves well today and have won a lot of fans in the process.

Tom Starke: We weren't at the top of our game today and never really got into the match. Windeck fought incredibly hard, but we've qualified for the next round and that's all that counts.

Andreas Beck: We made it hard for ourselves today and allowed our opponents too much freedom. We wanted to show more, but it just didn't happen for us today. Even when Windeck were tiring towards the end, we couldn't raise our game.
