Reaction against Bremen

1899 Hoffenheim have lost their first match in the second half of the season going down 1-2 in the dying minutes as Werder Bremen took all three points.

Marco Pezzaiuoli: The fans got to watch a thrilling match. Both sides were strong going forward and very attack minded, but I can't fault my team for too much today. We started well and really should have found the back of the net within the first half hour. After the break we didn't stay as compact as I wanted, but deservedly brought the game back to 1-1. Despite the late goal, I'm still confidently looking forward to the upcoming weeks.

Thomas Schaff: We're incredibly pleased to take all three points. It's definitely a positive when the team performs like that and demonstrates their determination to turn things around.

Ernst Tanner: We can't blame the lads at all. I'm happy with their performance, especially considering how many players were missing today.

David Alaba: It was a great feeling to get the first game under my belt for my new club. Obviously the result is disappointing, but we've got plenty of opportunities to show we can do better.

Andreas Beck: We had to play during a difficult situation, but the team spirit within the squad was perfect today, which is why the defeat hurts so much. I was really hoping for a positive result in my 100th Bundesliga apperance.

Claudio Pizzaro: When it came the equaliser was a big blow, but we never gave up and fortunately today, luck was on our side as we managed to get the winner late on.

Torsten Frings: We certainly left it late, but my only thought was to shoot when we won the free-kick and today, unlike in the first half of the season, luck was on our side.
