Reaction against 1. FC Nürnberg

1899 Hoffenheim emerged victorious from their final away match of the season having come from behind to beat 1. FC Nürnberg 1-2 thanks to goals from Firmino and Sigurdsson. Here are the reactions of those involved in Saturday's match:

Marco Pezzaiuoli:
I'm pleased that we managed to take all three points today. We struggled to get into the match early on. Nürnberg were the grittier side in the first twenty minutes, but we bounced back really well after going a goal behind. That's a massive compliment to my squad. We certainly deserved to equalise. In the second half we neutralised each other. It meant that the winning goal was slightly fortunate from our perspective, but it was a fantastic finish by Sigurdsson.

Dieter Hecking:
We were executing a well-organised game plan in the first half hour, yet we were far too passive as we approached half time. We gave our opponents confidence and rightly paid the price. After the break the match was heading for a draw, but we made one mistake too many and ended up losing the match. However, this afternoon's events, which saw Marek Mintal play his last home game for the club, mean that the result is just a distraction.
