Reaction against 1. FC Köln

1899 Hoffenheim were unlucky to only come away with a point against 1. FC Köln on Saturday. Here's what those involved had to say about the match:

Marco Pezzaiuoli: The squad has made the right response to last weekend's match in Munich. The team gave their all during the 90 minutes as they tried to win and were superior in every department. In the first half we had chances that had to be converted and weren't. Luck wasn't on our side today and it's frustrating that we couldn't claim all three points today.

Frank Schaefer: We came here today aiming to take something home with us. We've managed to do that and seeing as how the match played out we're satisfied with a point. We we're poor at the beginning of the second half and could have lost the match in that phase of play. The important thing was that we fought back and we played some good football towards the end of the match.

Ernst Tanner: We created so many chances today, but in order to convert them in the future we need to improve our link-up play in the final third and that will come with time. Vedad Ibisevic was outstanding today, but in the end we we're missing a pinch of luck.

Andreas Beck: It was obvious that today's match would be difficult, but we put in a really good performance. In the end 1-0 should have been enough for all three points today.

Vedad Ibisevic: In the second half we dominated the match and the only thing missing was a little bit of luck for us to kill of the match after we had taken the lead. We've missed another opportunity having failed to close up shop at the back.

Marvin Compper: Over the 90 minutes we dictated the match, but we really didn't do enough with our chances. A win today would have been fully deserved.

Christian Eichner: It was a golden point for us today. There was an element of luck in the result, but in the end I don't think anyone will hold it against us if we celebrate this like a win. If we can claim all three points against Freiburg, I'm sure that we can avoid relegation this season.
