Jens Grahl joins SC Paderborn on loan

1899 Hoffenheim's U23 goalkeeper Jens Grahl has joined 2. Bundesliga side SC Paderborn on a season long loan with immediate effect. The youngster successfully recovered from the horror injury he sustained after a nasty collision with Andreas Ibertsberger in training that fractured several bones in his face. He bounced back and went on to keep 15 clean sheets in 27 matches, in 9 consecutive matches without conceding a goal sparking interest for his services among lower league sides. “For Jens's development it's crucial that he starts playing and gathering match experience at a higher level than the lower echelons of German football”, stated manager Ernst Tanner who was obviously behind the youngster spending some time with another club that could afford him more opportunities.
