Hamburg 2-0 Hoffenheim (1-0) – Match Reaction

Hoffenheim's winless run in the league stretches to eight games after a 2-0 defeat to Thorsten Fink's Hamburger SV. Find out here what the managers and players of both sides had to say about the match.

Holger Stanislawski: “Congratulations to HSV. They deserved the win because they made the right decisions at key moments in the game. We played some great football after a poor start, but just lacked that final touch to make our possession count. I'm unhappy with the goals we conceded; I think we were defended carelessly for them both. But we kept their goalkeeper busy in the second half, and there are positives to take from this performance.”

Thorsten Fink: “Obviously, I'm delighted with my team's performance, and we've finally ended that run of not winning at home. We scored at the right times. Now we're out of the relegation zone and have kept a clean sheet. Hopefully the fans will go home happy tonight.”

Andreas Beck: “If you're away from home, it's always tough to come back when you concede the first goal. But we had a lot of chances today, and on another day we might have scored a couple. We can definitely build on this performance.”

Paolo Guerrero: “It feels good to have finally won at home again. It was important that we moved out of the relegation zone and this will definitely be an important game in our season, regardless of where we finish.”
