1. FC Köln 2-0 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim

A disappointing 2-0 defeat away in Köln. What did Stani and Co. think of today's performance?

Holger Stanislawski: “We deserved to lose that game today because we didn't turn up in the first half. We had no thrust, made too many mistakes and didn't enact what we'd practised in training. We were better in the second half, but we didn't learn from our mistakes. But we have a young team and hopefully they'll learn in the future.”

Stale Solbakken: “We played really well against a very strong team who have been on a great run. We were solid at the back and conceded very few scoring opportunities. We were great up front as well. Lukas Podolski was very difficult for them to handle today.”

Tom Starke: “We win and lose as a team. They were dangerous on the counter-attack, but I think our defending was a little naà¯ve at times. We have a young team, and maybe we got carried away after the last two away games. I hope today will be a wake-up call.”

Marvin Compper: “We conceded twice on the break, and they were both after we surrendered possession in the middle of the park. I think that shows that we still have work to do. They were more aggressive than us, and they moved the ball quicker thank we did. We have to improve for the game against Bayern.

Lukas Podolski: “That win was important after the derby win last weekend. Now we have ten points under our belt. Our next game is away at Hertha. But we have to be careful; a loss will send us back down the table again.
