Reactions to the draw in Wolfsburg

Hoffenheim fail to hang on to a seemingly secured victory, as they conceded the 2-2 equaliser in injury time against Wolfsburg.

Ralf Rangnick: We controlled the game for roughly 70 minutes and highly deserved to have taken the 2-0 lead. After Wolfsburg got the first goal back, they began to put our defence under a lot of pressure and we failed to hang on to our lead.

Steve McClaren: It was a difficult afternoon for us. I told my players at half time that they need to fight for one another and attempt to get back in the game. After we scored the 2-1, we showed what we are capable off.

Andreas Beck: We simply are unable to hang on to our leads and take the three points home with us. Hence we have to live with this single point, although it sounds a bit harsh.

Marcel Schäfer: The first half was catastrophic and we have to be honest with ourselves. After the break we improved a lot and even had the chance to win the game in the end.
