Hoffenheim and Timo Hildebrand to part ways

Goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand will leave 1899 Hoffenheim at the end of the current season. The news comes as a result of extensive discussions between sporting director Jan Schindelmeiser, coach Ralf Rangnick, as well as Timo Hildebrand and his advisor.

The former Germany international joined Hoffenheim from Spanish first division side Valencia in January 2009 and made 38 league appearances for 1899, as well as four in the DFB Cup. The Hoffenheim No1 is currently labouring with a thigh strain which has forced him to watch from the stands in recent weeks. The club thanks Timo Hildebrand for all his work and wish him all the best for the future.
