Andreas Beck nominated for Germany national team

Hoffenheim defender Andreas Beck has been nominated for the German national team and their test against Denmark in Copenhagen. Germany head coach Joachim Löw announced his squad on Friday. Beck is one of six players from Hoffenheim who will be on national duty next week.

It would be Beck's eighth appearance for Germany. "Obviously I'm happy about being called up," said the 23-year-old. "When Joachim Löw told me that I would not be part of the World Cup squad, he also said that I will continue to be nominated for future games." Beck made his debut appearance for Germany on February 11th 2009 against Norway.

Jukka Raitala will be in action for the Finnish U21's in their EURO-Qualifier against Spain on August 11th. Sejad Salihovic and Vedad Ibisevic have been nominated for the Bosnia-Herzegovina squad and their match against Qatar. Josip Simunic and Croatia face Slovakia in Bratislava. Carlos Eduardo and Brazil go head to head with the USA in New Jersey.
