Ibertsberger extends contract to 2012

The partnership between 1899 Hoffenheim and Andreas Ibertsberger is to remain at least until 2012.

Both club and player have agreed to extend the Austrian's contract by two years until 2012. "Andi has developed enormously here at Hoffenheim. Both on and off the pitch he has been an asset to the team. Following our pleasant discussions I'm delighted that we will continue working together at least until 2012," said manager Jan Schindelmeiser. Ibertsberger was also looking forward "to the coming years in Hoffenheim, where I've celebrated our promotion into the Bundesliga and where I personally have developed as a player."

The 27 year old has played for Hoffenheim since January 2008 and has scored one goal in 49 outings for the club. Ibertsberger has also competed in 12 games for his country, Austria.
