Pirmin Schwegler signs for TSG

TSG have strengthened their squad for next season with Switzerland international Pirmin Schwegler (27). The midfielder moves to Hoffenheim from Eintracht Frankfurt and has signed a contract until 2017.

Schwegler on his move: “Hoffenheim follow a clear philosophy. The team play inspirational attacking football. That has convinced me to take on this challenge and join TSG on their exciting journey.”

Schwegler moved to the Bundesliga in 2006 from ‘Young Boys' Bern. After a spell at Bayer Leverkusen (46 appearances), he joined Eintracht Frankfurt in 2009, where up until recently he was the captain. Schwegler has scored six goals in 127 first- and second-division matches and also has 14 caps for the Switzerland national team so far.
