Wiese and TSG agree on exit

“The details surrounding the agreement cannot be disclosed for legal reasons. However, the talks were carried out with the goal and desire to find a suitable solution for everyone involved. We are very relieved to have succeeded in that and to have a difficult issue come to a satisfying conclusion,” said TSG chairman of the board Peter Rettig.

Tim Wiese also described the arrangement, whereby the former Germany keeper and TSG go their separate ways, as a “foundation” that provides him with “new options and prospects”. The 32-year-old wants to take the opportunity for him and his family to look ahead and allow himself time to consider his future.

Peter Rettig expressed his thanks to Tim Wiese for his cooperation over the past months. During the talks, he felt he “got to know Tim as a fair sportsman”. The chief executive wished the goalkeeper “all the best for the future” on behalf of TSG.
